After making dozens of the Montée Magic bracelets (featured in Beadwork, February/March 2008), Katherine realized no ordinary pair of earrings coordinated like she had anticipated. What better way to bring them together than to use the same ring pattern of the bracelet? Using a head pin keeps the shape straight and makes this simple crystal earring quick and easy to finish. Instructions are given for two variations of these party-worthy earrings. |

The earring is worn by actually winding the spiraled part of the wire through the ear, making them easy to wear, but next to impossible to lose! The name of the project comes from the fact that a ballpoint pen is one of the tools used to make these earrings. While these earrings feature garnet rondelles, try using round beads, oval beads, stone chips, or dont use any beads at all. A photo of this project appeared in Easy Wire magazine. |

Practice making wire coils with this easy earring project by the editor of Beading Daily. The tools and supplies are minimal--silver ear wires, small silver round beads, colored craft wire, and a crochet hook to wrap the wire around. If you dont own a crochet hook or knitting needle, use a narrow piece of metal, like a skewer (used for shish kabobs) or a plant stake.
